One of the nicest, kindest, most customer service oriented bakeries I’ve ever encountered! We came all the way to Pottsville from Texas to visit my grandpa for his 85th birthday and they were closed but selling their bread at a local mansion and market. Upon knocking at the door, owner invited us in and personally called his wife down at the market to put aside a loaf of their reknown sourdough bread just for us. The bread was absolutely delicious and knowing the bakery’s story and that the owner and his wife are truly kind individuals made it that much more delicious! Would recommend to anyone in th area! It’s worth the drive as well
Thank God! Real bread at affordable prices. Everything else a bakery and restaurant/cafe has to offer: outstanding food and great value. Atmosphere relaxed and unpretentious. Owners are a lovely young couple. An oasis in the desert of Schuylkill County. I moved here 6 months ago and my quality of life would be unbearably negatively impacted without this little "insider" jewel. Definitely worth a visit even if you have to park a block away. Just think: not a shopping mall - worth finding pot of gold at end of rainbow and also supporting struggling locals. You'll be glad you did, and probably get addicted to their exquisitely creative menu and cozy European atmosphere without the attitude. Something for every budget so treat yourself to some joie de vivre!
What an absolute gem in Pottsville. We got a delicious sourdough boule, an apple Danish, a Flatbread with bacon and caramelized onions, and a bag of salt and pepper popcorn popped in bacon grease. Everything was just outstanding. Cash only operation so be prepared. Highly recommended!
I can't say enough about this place! Wonderful food, great drinks, lovely family owned place, awesome location and decor. They did the desserts for my wedding, and could not have been more helpful throughout the process. This is a must stop place for travelers and locals alike!

Got an olive rosemary loaf from their newly opened Hershey loca and it was a great surprise, beyond expectations for sure. It was a true artesan loaf with great crust and flavorfulllll tooth inside. I'm so excited to try more of their creations. Great breads from really nice people.
Went for the porter and ended up with it and: sour dough, fig, babka and came home and wow. Definitely be back looking forward to trying more. The gentleman that waited on us was very nice and considerate of our questions. Please keep up the good work.
Was there on Saturday morning for the french toast bar. The individually fresh brewed cup of coffee was an unexpected delight. So many options of bread to choose from and homemade toppings . Our meal was the most delicious we've had in a long time. Even our 3 year old great grandson loved the food. The owners made a very rainy day full of sunshine in their lovely bakery. 😁😁😁😁😁
Just what I've been looking for. Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff. We went for the French toast bar in Pottsville. My partner ended up getting an off menu item instead because it sounded so good when it was recommended. Definitely lived up to the expectations. Both of our plates were clean at the end of the meal. The coffee was rich and they offered quite a few luxury teas. We went home with some complementary snacks for the table and two loaves of bread. We couldn't resist. I grew up around many fresh bread bakeries, and lived overseas for a few years. This place makes the homesickness go away just a bit. If you are looking for a regular bakery for breads in the Pottsville area, this is the best choice. I'm definitely making it ours.
Walked in the shop because the sign out front said he baked with a 12 yr old starter. So i wanted to ask questions about how to start one. He shared his knowledge with me and now im at home making my own. We also bought beautiful pretzels!! And they were absolutely amazing!!!
